Education SAFE equips teachers, support staff, and school personnel with practical skills to manage conflict, prevent escalation, and respond safely to challenging situations in educational environments. Participants will gain confidence in handling difficult conversations, managing confrontational behaviour, and applying low-level self-protection strategies where necessary. This program is designed to enhance both actual and perceived safety for students, staff, and visitors, helping your school foster a secure, supportive learning environment.
The School SAFE program teaches the following important self-protection principles & skills:
- Early signs in student/parent interactions
- De-escalation language that maintains respect
- Using your environment effectively, positioning and safe classroom routines
- When to disengage and escalate appropriately
